ladysuzanne asked: "By the way, dear, you're officially a mother now, so you're allowed to celebrate this holiday." she held out a small, neatly wrapped gift. "Happy mother's day. And I am so happy for you and Luke."

“S-Suzanne, this is…” she said, looking down at the small box. She, however, smiled gently and let out a grateful sigh. “Thank you. You must have gone through some trouble to get this for me since Aschly was only born yesterday.”
She carefully unwrapped the gift, placing the ribbon to the side before opening the box, seeing inside wrapped in silk, a photograph of Luke, Tear, and little Aschly in a very beautiful and ornate frame. She must have snuck the picture, because neither of them were looking at the camera. Their eyes were only fixed on their daughter, practically glowing.
“Oh Suzanne, this is wonderful. Thank you so much.” she said with a smile.
ladysuzanne asked: "I just received word-! The baby has been born? I'm really a grandmother now?"

“That’s right, and she’s more beautiful than I could have imagined. I can’t wait for you to see her.” she said with a light laugh, no longer surprised by Suzanne’s excitement. “
I’m supposed to be discharged and free to go home sometime tonight.”
“I can see that,” he said softly as he made his way over to the side of the bed and gave Tear a small kiss on the cheek. “She is so beautiful,” he looked downwards at the small sleeping bundle of pink in Tear’s arms. “You have no idea how proud I am of you.” he then took a seat in a chair stationed right next to the bed. “I alerted the maids to let mother and father know that the baby has been born, and it looks like letters are being sent out to alert our friends.” he smiled.
“May I hold her?”

“Of course, but be easy, and mind her head. She can’t support her own weight yet.” she said, carefully passing their child to Luke.
Leaning back to get a good look at the two of them, she suddenly was overwhelmed with emotion again. So many times she had found herself crying over the smallest things during the whole ordeal, but seeing their daughter, their precious child with the man she loved most… It truly brought on a deep, warm feeling that could never be explained properly into words.
She was so similar to Luke in many ways. It was obvious that she had his hair, surprising since red was a recessive gene and brown a dominant. It just showed that she really was his child. She was rather proud though that Aschly had inherited her blue eyes. At least she’d resemble her a little instead of looking like a perfect little clone of her father.

After a long day of labor, and much effort, (and then rest) Tear now sat up comfortably in her hospital bed, humming a soothing tune as she rocked Aschly back and forth. It was a pleasant slow melody, helping to keep her at ease after her crying earlier. Aschly then let out a wide yawn, squinting as her eyes watered up. Tear could only let out a light chuckle, kissing the top of her head.
The door then opened, and she looked over to see Luke entering with an ecstatic smile, closing the door quickly before scuttling over to her. She then placed a finger to her lip, signaling him to be quiet.
“She’s just settling down, and finally stopped crying. So let’s hope it lasts a bit.” she whispered, beginning to hum gently again.
(( Wow okay finally remembered my login info. ))
(( I am proud of myself for making a coherent rp reply in my current state
at least i’m not high anymore but
now my extreme back pain has returned. BD;; Oh goodie.
Guess it’s time to take another pill and go to bed. ))
Asch felt a light pink rush to his face as he saw Tear’s eyes open. No. This was bad. No. no. Why was he blushing. Surely any kind of infatuation he had had with this woman had ended years ago when he ran away from her, leaving her screaming and crying after him in that long empty hallway?
I Guess not.
Though Asch would not be admitting to it any time soon.
Asch felt his hands settle into the crook of her back, giving the appearance that he was pulling her closer to him. He kept his hands in fists, as to not give any indication that he was doing this on purpose. They stood there for what seemed like an hour, the time being the only he finally relaxed a bit from his frozen state. He stared at her with a blunt expression, expecting her to try to pull out of his grip. He froze again, however, when instead of moving away Tear instead moved closer to him. His eyes widened as he watched her lay her head down onto his shoulder. He felt her nose dig against his neck. It was freezing.
He hands lifted up and rested onto his chest. Asch was frozen stiff, if he hadn’t been before. The blush that had settle away had returned, and Asch looked as if he was a red statue. He was so thankful that Tear’s eyes were closed, if she had seen him like this he probably would have refused to accept his mission as her guard and would have gone back to ignoring her for the rest of their lives.
Asch would have stayed there, frozen, if not for the loud clattering of armor coming from somewhere behind and to the right of him. He looked, instantly placing on hand against the pillar behind him, keeping one hand now firmly pressed against Tear’s back. She had heard it too, and she was now looking in the same direction as Asch. He looked over his shoulder at the source of the noise, though nobody was there. The two stood there for a few seconds, staring in the direction of the noise. Asch knew someone was either watching them or on their way to, and it only seemed like a moment had passed before Asch grabbed Tear’s hand again and bolted down the hall in the direction of Tear’s room. Asch had learned how to run while keeping his footsteps silent, and Tear seemed to be doing good enough. Or maybe it was just sympathy for the girl that kept Asch from sweeping her up from the ground and carrying her the rest of the way. If someone had walked in on the two running, it would have appeared as two lovers hiding from the law, running away from some kind of force trying to keep the two apart. Dramatic, is what it was, really.
They would have to go through the small ceremonial room where Asch had been ordered to be Tear’s knight in order to get to Tear’s room. Unfortunately for them, there should be plenty of guards in the room. Asch, however, knew what he was doing. He slowed as they approached the large doors and stopped, allowing the two to catch their breath before stepping into the large room.
He was right, there were guards posted. Asch opened the large doors in front of them and bowed, motioning for Tear to step in slowly, as if she was supposed to be out of her room at this hour. Asch stepped in after her. The four guards among the room raised a brow in confusion at Tear, and then looked questioningly at Asch, demanding an answer with their expressions. Asch simply nodded at them, and that seemed to be good enough. A few of the guards shrugged before opening the other door on the opposite side of the room in the corner, leading to the royal’s bedrooms. The two to passed through, keeping their heads high, trying to look as though they had a purpose to the best of their ability.
The door behind them shut, and Asch wanted to give a sigh of relief. They weren’t there yet though, and Asch stepped forward and passed Tear. She had stopped, and was now looking at him expectantly, as if she expected an explanation for what happened, or even an order as to what to do next. He turned to look over his shoulder as he walked, beckoning her to follow after him.
Asch hadn’t said a word to her, which, hadn’t surprised Tear in the least. She had hoped that he might have said something… anything at that moment. But, what could she expect, really. Knowing Asch as he was, well… he never really explained much of anything. She would leave the matter alone for the moment, and following after him. At that very instant, Asch was the only thing she could focus on, and she had to make sure to do just as he said, lest someone catch them in their act of rebellion.
As they continued through the hall, they stayed detached, silent, and Tear hadn’t the courage to reach out for his hand once more. She’d have to rely on her will to stay awake to keep close to him. However, neither seemed to noticed the strange, sticking sound that began to emanate off the walls of the palace. It was a thick, faint, and subtle sound of what resembled jam being pressed against the marble flooring.
Tear and Asch both let out a sigh of deep relief as they approached her bedroom chamber doors, pausing before entering. Her exhaustion was getting the best of her, and she was finally feeling the effects creep onto her body as a throbbing pain began to form in her feet and shoot up her legs. They faintly shook, but she ignored it. The Knight and the Princess glanced at one another before she took the liberty to enter herself. She wanted nothing more than to fall into her bed and rest. The two would have plenty of time to become better acquainted, this she knew for sure. However, as she pushed the door open carefully and entered, she felt a strong hand reach out and grab her shoulder.
She stopped, looking up at Asch with dulled blue eyes, the fatigue apparent in her face. Rather than looking at his princess though, she saw that he was staring at the ground, a deep frown set in his expression. She followed his gaze to the ground where a faint impression of bare footprints was left on the ground. The footprints themselves did not bother the Knight, however. It was what the footprints had been made from.
Blood.
Her eyes widened as she carefully lifted an aching foot, seeing a wide array of scrapes, scratches, and gashes along the entire base of her appendage. How she hadn’t noticed this earlier was beyond surprising to the Princess. She put her foot back down and looked up to see Asch’s face again, only to find he was giving her a cold, hard, and thoroughly upset glare. She shrank slightly, slumping her shoulders.
Why would he be mad at her, though? It wasn’t as though she had even realized it until she saw the footprints. She had barely even noticed the intense pain her legs and feet felt until she’d been able to calm down. She lowered her gaze, reaching up to fiddle with a lock of hair as the pain continued to catch up and increase in her legs. She avoided the urge to wince, for she knew it would only anger Asch further, until her shaking legs suddenly gave way and buckled under her own weight, causing her to collapse as she let out a gasp.
